Engineering Journal: Board Members Policy

Engineering Journal IJOER publishes articles of international interest from all areas of Engineering research and Science. The Journal is an international publication organization aims to publish research articles in the field of Engineering Research and Sciences. The aim of the journal is to offers scientists or researchers with expertise in Engineering Research and Sciences to share their systematic research outcomes with the real world or with new professionals who are doing best in this field. Engineering Journal IJOER is a worldwide monthly journal managed by AD Publications, Bikaner, and Rajasthan, INDIA since April 2015.

If you have aspirations to become an editor, one of the ways is through a direct invitation from a publisher. This may happen as a result of your expertise in a specific field or discipline, in particular when Publishers wish to publish a new journal. Another way to become an editor is to submit Membership Form which is 100% free that to be evaluated by our panel.

What are the typical criteria for an Editor position?
These would be:

1.   Candidate should have minimum of Ph.D. degree.

2.   Expertise and experience in the specialist field related to the journal.

3.   Publication record of a number of articles and /or books (usually in / related to the specialist field).

4.   Being a reviewer of an international peer reviewed journal.

5.   Enthusiasm to undertake the Editor role , but ensuring recognition of all aspects of the reality of the role and the work involved.

Editors are responsible for:
1.  Fair policy and perspective independence:

Editors of Engineering Journal IJOER got to review the submitted articles solely on the idea of their academic value (importance, originality, study's validity, clarity) and its significance to the journal's aim and scope, oblivious to the authors' race, gender, sexual orientation, ethnic origin, nationality, religion, political philosophy or institutional association. Editor is not allowed to tidy up and publish by the policies of governments or any supplementary agencies outside of the journal itself. The Editor-in-Chief has full rights over the whole editorial content of the journal and therefore the timing of publication of that content.

2.  Privacy:

Editors, editorial and critic staff will not disclose any information on the submitted article to anyone aside from the chief editor, reviewers, latent reviewers, other editorial advisers, and the publisher, as suitable.

3.  Revelation and conflicts of interest:

Editors, editorial and reviewer board members should be aware that any unpublished information should not be disclosed of submitted document for their own research purposes without the authors open written consent. Privileged information or ideas obtained by board member as effect of handling the article will be kept confidential and not used for their individual advantage. Board member will use again themselves from keeping the facts in mind articles in which they have conflicts of interest resulting from ready for action collaborative, or other relationships/connections with any of the authors, companies or institutions linked to the articles; instead, they will ask another associate of the editorial board to handle the article.

Authors also need write no conflict of interest in the submit article.

4.  Publication decisions:

The board member has to make sure that all submitted articles being measured for publication undergo peer-review by at least two reviewers who are specialist in the field. The Editor-in-Chief is responsible for deciding which of the articles submitted to the journal will be published, based on the corroboration of the work in question, its significance to researchers and readers, the reviewers' comments, and such legal necessities as are currently in force concerning defamation, copyright breach and plagiarism. The Editor-in-Chief may award with other editors or reviewers in making this decision.

5.  Participation and cooperation in investigations:

Board members (in conjunction with the publisher or editor) will take receptive decision when ethical concerns are raised with regard to a submitted article or published article. Every reported act of unethical publishing performance will be looked into, even if it is discovered years after publication. Our journal editors pursue the COPE Flowcharts when dealing with cases of alleged misconduct. If, on investigation, the ethical concern is well-founded, an alteration, retraction, expression of concern or other note as may be applicable will be published in the journal.
